About Us

KLIC is a Chapter of the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA)  We work to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana. We advocate for the professional recognition of the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) as a vital part of the allied health team.  We collaborate with breastfeeding supporters at all professional and lay levels, including nurses, physicians, certified lactation counselors (CLC), La Leche League Leaders (LLL-L), and public health staff.

KLIC honors the Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes and does not accept funding from corporations who are not in compliance!
